On Wednesday at 12:44am pacific, the full moon will reach its apex in Sagittarius. Sag is the sign is associated with the ninth house in astrology and represents education, , travel, spirituality, culture and cross-cultural relations, “higher” and or more advanced learning, the arts, wisdom, and ethics. Sag has a reputation for being a risk taker, having a “fuck it, why not” attitude, and on the shadow side being frivolous and irresponsible.
As we move through this lunation, there is a lot of other astrology also at play. Jupiter will just have moved into Cancer and will be moving into a square with Saturn and then Neptune while Mercury will be moving out of his squares with them. Venus will just have moved out of a square with Pluto. Mars will be moving into a square with Uranus and will be in a trine with Chiron. These aspects are happening either in the early degrees (0-5) of the signs they are in or in the later degrees 25-29/30). This all represents tension (squares) and change (being in early degrees = beginnings, late degrees of signs = endings) and opportunies for unexpected, unprecedented, and nontraditonal/innovative healing (Uranus trine Chiron).
Full moons are generally about release, and this full moon is all about releasing our attempts to control, maintain the status quo at all costs, and begin shedding another layer of social conditioning and indoctrination. It is an opportunity to intentionally open ourselves to previously unimaginable growth, change, and (r)evolution. It is an opportunity to look with it, acknowledge where we are stuck, explore why we are stuck there, and begin doing and or deepending the work of connecting with our humanity, autonomy, and agency to bring about change within ourselves and in our relationships with ourselves, each other, and our world (and all her inhabitants).
I have decided to begin utilizing the paywall again. I have a lot of inner conflict around paywalls in general, and the reality is, in our current society and culture they are an energetic exchange. Having a paid subscription not only puts a couple dollars in my bank account to pay my bills, it also encourages me emotionally and mentally to continue sharing my work. In the future any new writing and resources will be for paid subscribers only. This will include the resources I provide in the Witchy Sh!t series, as well as any other posts in which I provide reflection questions and or somatic exercises. If you benefit from these resources and cannot afford the $7 per month subscription fee, please contact me directly and we can work something out.
