The new moon in Cancer will reach it’s apex at 3:31am Pacific Daylight Time tomorrow, June 25. New moons are about beginnings, planting seeds, allowing the unfolding and growth to happen in its own time and space, without us rushing or forcing it.

This Cancer new moon has a lot happening with it. Jupiter is also in Cancer, with the Jupiter cazimi (when the sun and a planet meet in the sky) having occurred earlier today, June 24 and will still be close by when the new moon occurs. Additionally the moon is the ruler of Cancer and so lunations within this sign tend to be extra beneficial and beneficent and the new moon in Cancer is an excellent time for manifestation and spell work, setting our intentions and taking the initial steps towards our wants and needs. Finally, Mars, the planet of action, will be making a sextile, a beneficial aspect) to theis new moons.

In short, this new moon is about expansion, action, and grounding in our emotions and emotional life and landscape.

Cancer represents the fourth house on the astrological wheel, which is about home, family and caregivers, our foundations and roots - ancestral and societal, our security and safeness needs, and of course our intuition and emotions.

May this new moon give the space and knowing for each of us to move through the current times, shedding our harmful and hurtful woundings and indoctrintations, and learning to move though the world and in relationship in more nourishing and nurturing ways.
