There are days when our anxiety and panic are activated.
We will feel our heart racing. Our throat closing. Our stomach churning.
We will feel a panic attack coming on. We will want to throw up. We will feel caged and trapped and like there is no escape.
In these moments we need Our People.
We need a person or persons we can reach out to and say "Hold me "
Sometimes we need someone to literally physically hold us.
Sometimes we need someone to metaphorically hold us over text or the phone.
Sometimes we need both.
We are living in times of high stress and our fight flight responses are on high alert. We can be pushed into overwhelm, into panic attacks, into freaking the fuck out, by any little thing.
This is why we need our people.
To help us come down out of our trees. To remind us we've got this. To hold us in the ways we need in that moment to get through to the next.
So we remember to breathe. So we can have help slowing down so we don't do something we will regret. So we know we aren't alone.
