Sometimes our fears can run wild.
Sometimes we push people away because we don't know how to pull them close.
Sometimes we forget that it is okay for others to care for us.
Many of us struggle with the idea of our own mortality. Dying too young before we do all the things we want to do. Leaving our children far too early.
Sometimes when we voice these thoughts to people, they show concern it may make us uncomfortable. We may try to brush them away, tell them we’re fine, and then silence ourselves.
So many of us are not good at being cared for. We may understand know why. We may know how these neural pathways were formed and we may know it's all a very old survival response.
And.
When we are able to learn how to let people in, to care for us, it can heal us in ways we didn’t know possible. It can be a most uncomfortable experience, and it is part of our journeys of breaking generations old patterns and cycles.
