They say absence makes the heart grow fonder. And maybe this can be true sometimes.

And sometimes absence makes the heart grow angrier. Colder. Or sometimes anxious. Fearful.

Sometimes space and time are what is needed to sort out some of the complexities and complications of our mind and heart and our relationships. And sometimes too much space and time has us spiraling in our old narratives and stories with perhaps new characters.

Sometimes not saying anything is the least harmful thing we can do. Sometimes it is the most harmful.

Sometimes we just simply and wholly and holy MISS people. Their smile. Their laugh. Their energy. Their being.

Sometimes we both desperately want to pull someone closer and simultaneously want to shove them away.

Sometimes our own regret can cloud things and make us a bit blind to the missteps others have also made.

Sometimes loving other humans hurts. Sometimes it brings frustration. Sometimes it bring grief.
