Self Care Holidays
The holidays (and I count the holidays from my birthday in mid-October into January) is the time of year that I really need to up my self care in the ways that are actually helpful.
Like, remembering to take a few moments here and there to soothe my nervous system.
Remembering to set boundaries and to say no.
Remembering to stay present in my body and to listen to it, its wants and needs.
Remembering to make space for grieving.
Remembering to create space for being without the do-do-doing.
And I know I am not alone in this.
I’m currently sharing the material from my group program Self Care Holidays to paid subscribers (the second post will go out tomorrow morning). Each week you receive an essay, two nervous system regulating exercises, and some writing prompts. The material is meant to help you navigate the complexities and stress of the this time of year, offering you tools that you can carry with you throughout the year. You can become a subscriber (and support my work and writing too)…
