This week, while we rest in this space of in-between and metamorphosis, I invite you to consider what it means to you to come more into your body and to allow another person to help you regulate your system as you do so (i.e. co-regulation).
It is true that we need tools to self-soothe and self-regulate. We don't always have the opportunity to have another to help us regulate our systems. The nervous system soothing exercises I offer you are all ways for you to do this work, when necessary, yourself.
And.
Co-regulation is also a part of our work in healing and processing our trauma, in unraveling our attachment wounds, and in finding our ways to our own embodiment.
Co-regulation is natural. Our systems automatically attune to others.
