And here we are... time to talk about sex and our sexuality. 

When we hear the word pleasure, most of us initially think of partnered sex.  Pleasure and (partnered or solo) sex, in our culture, are (theoretically) synonymous.  And yet, for many people, those with vaginas especially, sex isn't pleasurable, or isn't always pleasurable.

There are as many different reasons for this as there are people who sex isn't pleasurable for.  Some of the reasons may be related to religious upbringing.  Some reasons may be from sexual trauma.  Other reasons may be more about our anatomy and things not "working right".  

If you are a person for whom sex is physically painful, I invite you have an honest conversation with your doctor about that and see if physical therapy may be appropriate to help.  (This means of course, feeling comfortable enough to have this conversation with your doctor).
