Now we begin to reclaim our Softness.  

For many of us the idea of being soft is somewhat repulsive.  We may associate the idea of softness with weakness, with "being a victim"; we don't associate softness with strength, or being powerful, or being a warrior.

I hear you. In the past I struggled with softness, a lot, and still do a much lesser degree still.

Softness can be vulnerable.  In fact, it is vulnerable.  But vulnerability is not weakness.  Vulnerability isn't about meekness.  Vulnerability is truly about strength.

Softness allows connection.  It allows bending and swaying while not breaking.  It allows gentleness and comfort and understanding.

All things our rigid armor prevents on many levels, in many ways.

Going deep into softness is also terrifying (yes, this whole journey has many terrifying parts!). It requires us to learn to sit with discomfort, not only ours but also another person's and not shame or try to "fix" or block or stuff down.
