EWShame :: Setting down our hurts

We now pass through the fourth gate.  

At the fourth gate, on her descent to the underworld, Inanna set down her breastplate.  In modern day we can see this as a shirt, or a bra or corset.  However I like the idea of a metal breast plate, like warrior women wore (and still wear - hello Wonder Woman!)

This breast plate protects our chest and heart.  I think all of us wear metaphorical breast plates, for some of us these plates are thicker, less malleable than others.  We wear these to protect ourselves from heart ache and as a response to our own old heartaches.
