When Inanna sets down her crown, she releases the stories she holds about herself in her mind. For Inanna, these would be stories of her glory, for us these are the stories of being too much, not enough, and the shame we carry about ourselves. We are setting down the voices that swirl in our minds whenever we make a mistake, or have success, or simply look in the mirror. These are the voices that weren't originally ours, and yet, through our lives, we have adopted as our own.
