Life can be overwhelming at times. It can have us screaming into the Void and trying to hide in our darkest caves. It can have us falling back on harmful patterns and feeling as if nothing will ever change.

In these times we may forget about our people. Who is there for us. Who has been there for us. Who can be there for us.

It can be more challenging to trust people during theses times. Because life and history has shown us how we can never get anything for free, how there is always a price, even in love and support.

And sometimes, every now and then, there may be a person or people who have entered our life who want nothing from us. They simply enjoy us, as we are. They enjoy our company and our quirks. They offer support and ask for nothing in return. They simply want to be our friend or lover, without obligation or contracts. They feel they are simply a better person for knowing us, and if we allow ourselves, we can be better people for knowing them.
