As I continue my own growth, healing, and evolution, so does the work I offer to this world. When I started as a therapist I was very focused on the science behind the somatic approaches I utilized, I needed to know and understand the whys and hows that the exercises worked. I tended to “poo-poo” anything that would be considered spiritual and or unexplainable. I don’t know if this was because of my background in physics, my upbringing to respect science and push back on religion, or my neurospiciness and trauma that needed concrete answers and solutions. It was probably a combination of all the above.
